Greedy Dentists? 3D Printed Teeth = Reduced Cost, Better Quality Products & Huge Time Reductions lead to zero cost reduction to consumers… Why?

It’s sad that Dental offices & Labs both are purchasing and utilizing the new technology to instantly produce teeth and parts that would traditionally take weeks and cost a ton ($5k –  $10k PER TOOTH) because it was so labor intensive….. But with the new tech they can fire all those technicians and produce multiple sets of anything they need practically instantaneously on-site with just a few dollars worth of material and the electricity it takes to run the printer…. SO WHY ARE THEY STILL CHARGING FIVE GRAND PER TOOTH????

Unfortunately there is but a single answer, GREED. With Obamascare having ruined the entire health insurance system the majority of employees are now either without insurance or about to lose their employer paid health and dental insurance, which means most people will be paying 100% out of pocket cash… You’d think this would encourage Dental community to begin making their services affordable to the average person finally after 50 years of exorbitant fees being charged (which has limited their entire market to the wealthy or insured as, if you’ve never seen a menu of dental fee structure, I advise you to sit down before you finally decide to research the prices).

Perhaps they don’t care they are cutting their own throats? Or their just too naive of what is happening outside their little cocoon of comfort? But look for their market share to start to crumble soon as this new dawn of socialism takes hold and more and more jobs are lost and insurance is canceled do to skyrocketed costs which is pretty ironic seeing as the conservatives warned everyone that this exact thing would happen and yet this Socialist President rimmed it down our throats on a technicality even after it was clear the citizens of this country wanted nothing to do with socialist medicine. The irony is the President lied to everyone with his claims to want lower prices as the “reason” for passing a 3000 page bill no one read in the first place… And look at us now… I cannot afford to visit a doctor or dentist any longer and it’s unfortunate but I won’t be in the minority very much longer…

Although 3D printing is becoming increasingly popular with dentists, and an even greater percentage of orthodontists are prepared to make the leap to digitizing their “shops” – or they already have,  the lack of any real cost benefits being passed down to the consumer is sad indeed and speaks volumes to the main reason our health care industry was so expensive and it had nothing to do with the reasons either party seemed focused on, it comes down to simple GREED.

Let’s look at some of the best Technology on the market currently and see what it’s actually capable of and you decide. In the end, it’s going to affect you as every dentist will eventually move to the new tech for both cost and convenience and it’s just a heck of a lot better product being produced for a lot less money and in a heck of a lot less time.
