Time Warner Cable veteran Bill Goetz resigning

Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC) confirmed that Bill Goetz, a longtime Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA) executive who joined TWC in 2002, is resigning from his post as EVP and COO of residential services.

The move, which TWC CFO Artie Minson announced at a Morgan Stanley conference on Wednesday, comes two months after TWC named Insight Communications veteran Dinni Jain COO. “Bill is resigning as Dinni Jain takes a more hands on role as COO with our residential business,” spokesman Bobby Amirshahi said.

Goetz has held his current position since January 2013. Earlier, he had been EVP of TWC’s West region which included systems that the MSO acquired from Jain’s Insight in 2012.

Goetz spent 20 years at several Comcast regions before joining TWC in 2002.
