Fancred, a social network for sports fans, has raised $3 million in new funding from existing investors Atlas Venture andMilitello Capital along with new investor Breakaway Innovation Group.

With Fancred, sports fans can capture and share their favorite game moments and interact with other fans while building up their Fancred rating.

Founded in 2012 in Boston, Fancred will use the new cash to expand its engineering team, build an Android version of its iOS app, and continue expanding its user community
