Thumbtack, a local services marketplace based in San Francisco, has raised $100 million in a new funding round led by Google Capital with participation from existing investors Tiger Global Management, Sequoia Capital, and Javelin Venture Partners.
Thumbtack’s platform helps people find professionals for a wide variety of services from tutoring to home improvement.
Founded in 2008, Thumbtack currently facilitates over 3 million projects a year, and plans to use the latest funding to launch nationwide marketing campaigns and grow its engineering team
