Black Duck Software, a provider of open-source software management solutions based in Boston, has raised $20 million in a Series F round led by General Catalyst with participation from previous backers Flagship Ventures, Volition CapitalRed HatSAP, and Intel.

Black Duck offers software tools and consulting to help its over 1,400 enterprise customers leverage open-source projects for their own apps.

Founded in 2002, Black Duck has raised $66 million to date and will use the new cash to fund expansion of the business and customer base.
