Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) has introduced #AmazonWishList, which allows shoppers to add items directly to their Amazon Wish List without leaving their Twitter page.
Customers can now respond to any Tweet that contains an Amazon product link from artists, experts, brands or friends with #AmazonWishList to immediately add the product to a Wish List, reported MediaPost.
Once a customer tweets, Amazon wil respond with a reply tweet from @MyAmazon, or an email from Amazon when the item is successfully added to the Wish List. The message will also be relayed if the item is out of stock.
Just in time for the holiday seasons, this product will help consumers get the gifts they really want, cutting down the number of returns. Consumers added 50 items to Amazon Wish Lists every second last year.
Using the service requires customers to connect their Twitter and Amazon accounts.
The newest product builds on #AmazonCart. Back in May, Amazon launched a similar feature to let customers add items to their shopping carts without ever leaving Twitter. This trend, to turn Twitter into a retail platform, could mean big money for retailers, as Twitter was ranked the best social media platform for connecting with customers.
