Remind, an ed-tech startup based in San Francisco, has raised $40 million in a Series C round led by existing investor Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers with participation from Social + Capital Partnership and First Round.

Remind has created a mobile platform to facilitate communication between teachers, parents and students, and currently sees about a million teachers and over 17 million students using its services.

Founded in 2011, Remind has raised $59 million to date and plans to use the latest cash to grow its team and expand into Western Europe.
